THE UNBADGED

Submit evidence

Why this matters, and why now. On 20 July the police came to a peaceful students' march with their name plates removed, cut the internet across central Delhi, and the courts have so far declined to even watch the footage. Posts are already being deleted and accounts locked. If the only copies live on phones and social media, this record can be erased.

This archive exists so that it cannot be. Upload as soon as you can. The original file from your camera roll, sent early, is worth far more than a forward found later: forwards strip the technical data courts rely on, and every day a clip stays only on a platform is another day it can be taken down or lost. Get it into the vault while it still exists.

Your submission is never made public. We will not post it on this site or anywhere else, in any form, not even blurred. It goes into a sealed, encrypted archive and is shown to no one but the legal team that carries these cases forward, if and when proceedings begin.

You stay anonymous. No account. No name. No email. Our systems are built to never log IP addresses, and we publish the code so you can verify that.

Highest safety: open this page in Tor Browser, which hides even your network location. If you are at personal risk, do that.

Send originals. The file straight from your phone's gallery, not a WhatsApp/Telegram forward (forwarding strips the technical data that makes footage court-grade). Original files carry metadata such as time and possibly location, which is what makes footage court-grade. That metadata is protected in the restricted vault and your file is never published, so the only people who ever see it are the lawyers who may take it to court.

If that metadata worries you anyway, you may strip it before sending; the footage is still valuable.

Up to 2 GB per file.

E.g. “police hitting people near the barricade; two officers with no name plates visible”.

    Landmark or street is enough.

Leave empty to stay fully anonymous. If you fill it, use a Signal number or an email that isn't tied to your name. This is stored in the restricted vault only.

By submitting, you confirm the material is yours to share or was recorded in a public place. It will not be published on this site or anywhere else. It is stored securely and provided only to legal aid, the courts, the NHRC, or established rights organizations if and when proceedings begin.
